Since the past few months, the race to clinch the number one position in the country had begun among political parties, and candidates jostling for the seat had also been doing their assignments, consulting with political figures deemed important to their ambition.
As political parties and candidates are getting ready, electorates also anticipate the February elections. They look forward to exercising their civic responsibility and enthroning the person who would pilot the country's affairs for the next four years.
While it is too early to predict whom the election would favor, come 2023, one can still guess the class of voters each candidate will attract. This article will identify the categories of people that will cast their votes for each of the top three leading Presidential candidates for the coming election.
Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is one of the leading candidates vying for the president's office. Regardless of his questionable wealth, age, and education, Jagaban will garner votes from the following people.
Ardent Party Loyalist: This is a category of people within the All Progressive Congress. They do not care about whom the party field; even if they are displeased with his emergence, so far he is from the APC, they will vote for him.
His Loyalists: This is a group of people that are fans of Tinubu. They do not necessarily have to be in the All Progressives Congress; they could be from the opposition party. They will vote for him regardless of the platform he is contesting.
Believers of Yoruba Lokan: This is another category of people whom Bola Tinubu will see their votes in 2023. They are a group of people who believe the next president should come from South West (Yoruba Land) and are ready to throw all their weight behind him.
Urgent #5k Needy: This may sound funny, but if we want to be sincere, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will garner votes from people in this category. His party will offer money, and people with an urgent need for money will vote for him.

Peter Obi is the presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Although he has several critics, these categories of Nigerians are ready to vote for him come 2023.
Elites: This is the set of people that can differentiate right from wrong. They are only convinced by candidates' capacity, integrity, and competency. Without equivocation, PO, as he is fondly called, will garner votes from these categories of people.
Aggrieved Youths: This is the set of people that have once or twice been the victims of Nigeria. They are unhappy with many things and are ready to vote out the ruling party, maybe because they feel the Labour Party candidate can do it better.
Members of Pyrates Confratanity: There is no doubt about this, as this category of people has already shown their support for PO during a rally recently. Although some criticized the display, most of them may likely vote for him in the name of brotherhood.
Atiku Abubakar is also one of the top presidential candidates. He was Vice President during Obasanjo's two-term regime. The People's Democratic Party fields him because they feel he is the best. He would see votes from these people.
Party Loyalist: Like Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar will also see votes from loyal party members. The love of the party will make them vote for him.
His Staunch Supporters: This is a category of people that want him. They will surely vote for him regardless of his party, religion, ethnicity, tribe, or flaws.
